CFC invites families throughout Niles Township to participate in Kids Can Engineer, which explores the physical science of sound. Using the engineering design process, students will build a musical instrument using everyday objects. Wave Properties, which is an NGSS Disciplinary Core Idea for Physical Science, is explored through sound in the primary grades. With the application and integration of music, students utilize multimodal literacy and examine the mathematical patterns and structures used in musical notation.
D67, D69, and NTDSE K-2 families will have an opportunity to participate in live, teacher-led sessions following the release of each class video. A limited number of material kits will be made available to families in partner districts. Please check your email for more information!
